I need to back up my locked ipod 4 so i can restore it???

I had my old ipod 4 sitting around and I went to get on it and I forgot the passcode.😟 I've tried everything I can think of and now it's disabled for 60 minutes. I need to back it up to icloud but I don't know how when the device is locked?😕 HEEEELLLPPP!!!!!!

p.s. I have no clue what ios version it is on
